Joan Wilson - Authorised Marriage Celebrant
Let me make your special day ‘All about You’
Together we can create a memory that will last a lifetime
Dreams really do come true!
No two ceremonies are alike. Each one is unique and individual because every love story is different. That is why officiating at your marriage would be such a privilege.
Marriage is the ultimate expression of love between two people and I take great pride in my work as a celebrant. I make sure that each and every ceremony is both a truly personal and professional event.
I will take you through the process step by step and together we can design a beautiful ceremony that is uniquely yours.
This is your special day and I will make sure it’s ‘your day – your way’
Let's discuss your plans for your perfect wedding day
Servicing the Adelaide Hills, Fleurieu Peninsula, Metro Southern & Eastern Suburbs
The legal age to be able to marry in Australia is 18 years.
Two witnesses over the age of 18 are required to witness your ceremony.
A Notice of Intended Marriage must be lodged with me no less than 1 month, and not more than 18 months, prior to the wedding date. You will both need to provide original birth certificates (if born in Australia) & drivers' licences as proof of I.D and age.
If either party has been married before, then proof of divorce or death of the previous spouse are also required.
If born overseas, then a birth certificate or overseas passport will be required.
Closer to the wedding date a Declaration under the Marriage Act 1961 will need to be signed, stating that you know of no reason why there would be a legal impediment to your marriage to the other party.
On the wedding day you will sign three documents: the marriage certificate I send to BDM, my marriage register and the certificate I present to you to keep.
All your documents will be closely monitored to ensure they are in order and promptly lodged with the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages on the next working day after your wedding.
